Jay Reiss is a graduate of the Juilliard School’s playwriting program. He is one of the creators of “The Twenty-Fifth Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” which won two Tony Awards, and made his Broadway acting debut as the word pronouncer, V.P. Douglas Panch. He has written screenplays for Warner Bros, Paramount and Universal Pictures. He is currently adapting the documentary “A Complete History of My Sexual Failures” into a narrative film for director Jay Roach. His first film as director, the short “Dead Cat,” recently premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
